    I came over from Public Storage this month due to an insane monthly rate increase PS tried forcing on me. This is my experience with Daffodil so far: The staff here are excellent and made my move in process seamless. Extremely friendly and helpful. The facility is top shelf all the way. Secure phone app does everything from letting you through the gate, into the building onto the elevator and opens and secures your unit. The facility is big, clean and easy to navigate. It is air conditioned as well! There are a bunch of flatcarts in the lobby for people to use to help move things from the loading bay. The loading bay itself is big enough for 4 vehicles to fit side by side with plenty of room to not ding another vehicle's door. The area between the bay and entry is big, which gives you plenty of room for loading and unloading comfortably. I will try to add photos the next time I stop by. Overall my impression with Daffodil Storage's facility is night and day compared to my previous experience with Public Storage. Very glad I made the choice to drop orange and go with yellow.

    Dorian was so nice and helpful and answered all of my many, many, questions during the rental process. We have been through a storage unit burglary in Texas. So, I'm always super apprehensive about storage units, since then, and a stickler for security. I really appreciate their high tech approach to security. Kelly, I believe, has also helped me, and she was very nice, as well.

This is by far the best storage place I have ever used, and I've seen a lot. The first point is that I did not have to meet someone and sign physical paperwork, it was all done over the phone. I did not have to buy some crazy lock for the unit either so I did not lose a key etc. The app is simple and straight forward which made using it easy all the things you need are on the page. There's a button to help you find your unit and it's a loud beeping. You use your phone for the elevator your unit and the gates.

Everything was smooth and easy! I really liked that I did not have to go in and get keys for a lock and pay that extra for a "special lock. The paperwork is straightforward and the discount for the first 2 months of 50% is great! You can see and control everything from the app and it helps you find your unit by beeping until you get to it. Everything is clean and well maintained it was easy to get a cart where other places you were lucky to find one. Definitely a place I would not mind recommending to other people.

The bluetooth capability is cool though when in the structure my phone acts like the bluetooth isn't on. It has here and there.

I’ve been a customer at both the Orchard street and 38th street locations and had a positive experience with each. The process from signing up to signing out were very simple & straightforward. Being able to access the facility with an app was very convenient, and any time I needed to speak to a person they were available, responsive and helpful. Would use them again and would recommend.

I want to first start off by saying that old and new staff of this particular Daffodil Storage (S Orchard St. Tacoma) have been extremely amazing in working with me on my late and sometimes very late payments. They try to work with me as much as they are allowed and I am truly thankful for that. Now down to the part to why they get a 3-Star. They are just super expensive!! I know they aren’t the most expensive out there and it could be worse, but when you are on a very tight budget, they do seem to hurt the pockets a little bit!!

I normally would give them four stars but I find it a bit complicated to have to utilize my phone and Bluetooth every time I want to enter or exit the storage facility I was almost out of battery the other night and was kind of freaking out thinking I wasn't going to get out luckily I did but if my phone ever died that really seems like it's quite an issue for me I kind of enjoy my other storage at Tacoma self storage a little bit better because I don't have to have my phone charged and all that other stuff I just have to have my keys to unlock the unit and know my code so it was a little complicated for me I mean not hard to do but just a hassle otherwise I give them four stars for cleanliness the unit is good price but I just think the phone thing is a bit of a hassle for me otherwise definitely check out daffodil storage off of 38th and South Tacoma Way

The second time they keep making me pay month after month when they said the 1 st it was due , so I was forced to pay months more than I could afford til I lost it.i would then they sold it for $36.00, about 2500.00 of my property. Its interesting that I get a snappy reply when they don't even know WHY I gave a 1 star! Lol so to clarify, it's NOT because I went to the wrong location at first. Lol! I paid on a Saturday for my unit, first 2 months 1/2 off was the special. I pay $20+ with insurance to secure my unit. Then I'm told I will be notified when my unit is ready. Well here comes Monday and I hadn't heard anything so I call, they tell me "oh your unit is ready when you pay" smh so I load up my entire car and go to the location I thought I had picked. The guy working the 38th St location was rude and short with me, and told me I CANNOT move my stuff in until I get the email with the link to download the lock app. I finally figured out I was supposed to be at the Orchard st location... so since I had to work I had to go Back home to unpack my car... I go to the Orchard St Location the next day and the guy starts talking about how the previous person isn't "moved out" of my unit... and how I HAVE to pay for my first month or there WILL be late fees. Well damn, I paid for $20+ on Sat, here it is Tuesday and I still haven't even been given ACCESS to My unit yet but your demanding more money?!? How about Act professional, and HELP the customer for the confusion & miscommunication that came from Daffodil Staff?!?! Just a thought. I do NOT recommend. NOW you can respond. Lol

My ex and I had a unit here, which they would not allow me to access after his death, despite my being listed on the unit. They also have no grace on payment despite his having just died, and the man on the phone yelled at me as I asked him to explain this absurd and cruel policy. I understand that it may be some sort of legal thing but he could have explained that rather than raise his voice at someone in an unimaginably difficult situation. Please!!! take your business elsewhere!! I’m so disturbed by the way I was spoken to it’s literally nauseating.
